Oakley’s typical daily schedule
Morning:
- Out of bed around 630-7a
- Walk (25-60 minutes; usually 1 boom-boom)
- Breakfast (1 cup dry food with some water - usually he must ‘Speak’ before eating)
Late morning:
- Nap

Afternoon:
- Nap
Late afternoon:
- Nap
Evening:
- Walk (45-60 minutes; usually 1 boom-boom)
- Dinner (1 thawed raw patty + 1 cup dry food - usually he must ‘Speak’ or ‘Kisses’ or ‘Spin’ before eating)
Night:
- Sleep
Tricks/Commands he knows
- Sit
- Stay
- Come
- Up, up, up! (jump into a car, onto a rock, onto a log, onto a picnic table, onto a human, onto a bed, onto a couch, etc)
- Down (point at ground - lay down, get off the furniture, get off the picnic table, off the human)
- Bang! (point with finger guns after ‘Down’)
- Rollover (efficacy: 25%…give command after ‘Bang!’)
- Speak (thumb in fist, flick thumb up)
- Spin (point to left)
- Turn (point to right)
- Kisses (he’ll get his nose close to your face)
- Under! (he’ll walk under your legs)
- Shake
- Other one (after ‘Shake’)
- OFF (this is a serious command and should be used sparingly)
- HEY! (also a serious command; say with authority if needed)
Quirks of Oakley:
- He doesn’t like when I leave; He will be very affectionate and/or kinda sad
- He’s fine by himself
- He doesn’t bark
- He doesn’t chew
- He does “paw” people for attention; So if he’s sitting/facing you and can reach your face, he may try to paw you
- He is a humper, if you go to the dog park
- He might fetch; prefers sticks/branches over tennis balls
- Loves rabbits
